Capital Campaign

Dear Friends,

We are in the midst of a profound transformation: the development of The New Lena. We ask you to join us as we embark on a $16 million capital campaign to build a 60,000 square foot modern facility to house our existing programs and expand our gymnasium into a state-of-the-art health and fitness center. The New Lena will replace the existing building, built in 1910 and renovated in 1971 after a fire, and will stand as the centerpiece to the necessary expansion of our services to help thousands more children, adults and seniors as we all strive towards a stronger and healthier community.

As we kick-off the capital campaign, we are well positioned to succeed with our tremendous campaign leadership. We are excited to introduce our campaign co-chairs: Cleve Killingsworth, President & CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Jerome L. Rappaport, Jr., President of New Boston Fund. Together, they join us with our Honorary Chairs: the Commonwealth's First Lady Diane Patrick, and Congressman Michael Capuano.

Lena has grown; the community we serve has grown with escalating needs. We all have the power to leave our mark; to demonstrate our vision of the world; to invest in a present and future that we can feel proud to say we were a part of. Help us widen the circle of influence and build a legacy of change towards The New Lena. Take the steps today and make a difference for tomorrow.
