Growing Reach

Transformation and expansion can only be successful when built upon a strong legacy and a platform of vision, leadership and steadfast belief. Lena Park CDC has undergone a profound transformation and continues to grow and expand, all the while devoted to education and assistance in the community; self-reliance and development in the family; and an unswerving commitment to the individual.

For more than 35 years, Lena Park has had a loyal presence in the community, and has been providing safe affordable housing, supplemental education programs for middle and high school students, a home away from home for our youth and adolescent population, and services for families, adults and senior citizens alike.

Some of Lena Park's greatest achievements have taken place within the past ten years, and have poised the organization for continued growth and boundless possibilities. These are just a few of our accomplishments:

  • 1999: Lena Park awarded the Turn Around of the Year Award in the non-profit category from the Turn Around Association of America.
  • 2004: Lena Park and New Boston Development Partners, LLC, began ` of Olmsted Green, a 41-acre mixed-use, mixed-income and green-living urban development.
  • 2006: Lena Park opens TEDJAC, its Training, Education and Job Advancement Center, offering community members opportunities to acquire marketable skills to connect with potential employers.
